The Montessori Certificate course is designed for people:

• becoming a Montessori teacher’s assistant
• becoming a Childcare assistant in a Montessori centre
• ESL applicants
• Pathway to a Diploma course

Read three basic texts

Written Assignments

Attendance at workshops covering the 0-6 age group

Practice in the presentation and use of the specific materials

Construction of some materials and teaching aids for each curriculum area - practice life, sensorial education, language and mathematics

Observation - 60hrs during the course, before the examination

Practice teaching - Not compulsory, but highly recommended

The Certificate Course is designed to be completed in one year, provided all workshops have been attended.

Minimum entry age: 16.
Evidence of an English Language assessment.
No Academic entry requirements.
